Everything You Want to Know About France and More...

Bon weekend from almost Spring in France!

Paris in the Spring

Bonjour!

I hope that you and yours are well.

In the last two weeks I’ve been to Paris where I learned what it takes to be a top chef, Yssingeaux in Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, where I stayed in a castle on top of a volcano (the Alain Ducasse patisserie school), lovely Lyon where I walked my socks off and dined at one of the most famous restaurants in France, beautiful Beaujolais where I wine-tasted with abandon, the gorgeous Gulf of St Tropez which I’ve fallen head over heels for, and marvellous Menton on the French Riviera where giant lemon and orange sculptures took over the town! And of course you’ll be able to read about all these places in the upcoming The Good Life France Magazine.

And on that topic, I’m just about to push the publish button for the spring issue of The Good Life France Magazine – if you’re not subscribed, it’s free and you can sign up here and the new issue will appear in your in-box very soon (and it’s a corker – a really, really beautiful edition).

The rain followed me a bit of the time on my travels from Pas-de-Calais in the far north of France where I live, but spring is making an appearance everywhere now, and when I came home this week, I found that Nan’s Tree (my other half Mark was left £100 in his nan’s will and bought a tree with white flowers to match her white hair), has burst into full bloom, filling the air with the scent of sweet magnolia star-flowers. My 4 dogs, 7 cats and 28 chickens gave me a rousing reception as I came through the gate. I often fall in love with the places I visit, but there’s no place like home.

Now, just because I’ve been travelling doesn’t mean I’ve not been working and there are loads and loads of new articles on the website, below are just a few of the latest but head on over to the website to discover more!

Meanwhile I wish you a happy weekend, and happy start of spring next week from my little home in the middle of nowhere, rural northern France

Wishing you a very bon week-end and bisous from a cake monster in France!
